If rhodium plated, Id never take it off! Is it a Garnet? Sure. Do ppl always jump to asking if it's a Ruby? Yes. ;) So I go w/ the more seductive choice of ruby since no one can tell! But Garnet is a special stone for me. This ring works in many ways. A beautiful elegant flow to it & also a hypnotic dangerous vibe. Depending on what you wear, your occasion & mood, it works for you in polar opposite directions! I wear on middle finger- fits perfectly and it doesnt fight with other rings. For me, it is THE perfect size in carat and design for my middle finger. It's not over whelming or ostentatious but it doesnt fade away into nothingness or get over come by rings on your other fingers. It holds its own without being obnoxious. A nice, deep rich red but unmistakable ruby red (authentic stone red). I love the stone's cut. The silver setting is also exquisite and is the perfect complement to the stone itself. Ive worn this ring w/ my every day jeans to go ride my horses. Ive worn this ring w/ a Vera Wang gown to attend a gala filled w/ celebs & Olympic Equestrians (friends). Truth? While Vera Wang gown was red carpet worthy, it was my jewelry that caught most ppl's attention that night. That night, 85% of all my jewelry was from Eve's Addiction and THOSE pieces, this 1 especially, got THE most attention! I couldnt give it a more ringing endorsement. On the fence? Honey- lean back & fall over – youll thank me & Eve's of course! If not, you cant beat their customer service & return policy. If you only knew what boutiques sell similarly designed rings for (same stone & nearly same SS setting)– at Eve's you're SAVING about 3 times as much! If something happens; (taken, lost, etc), this is 1 of those rings Im running straight back here to re-buy b/c it completes me!
