This 8 carat ring floored me w/ sparkle. It's a bit top heavy so I believe I shouldve gotten it in the 5 for my ring finger instead of 6 (ring finger is 5-1/2). But it fits perfectly on my middle finger. It's rhodium plated sterling silver which is the most ideal thing I look for in my jewelry. Keeps that high shine & luster w/ minimal care. The cable work & touch of gold give this ring tremendous dimension; she is an eye catcher. If you're not use to large stones, get out (or google) the millimeters so you know just how big the stone is if youve not danced w/ size before. I have so I knew what to expect and this ring met my expectations with great zeal & enthusiasm on my part. There are a couple of other rings, I think they have marcasite working on the side, that are similar (tho different) from this ring. I love THIS ring so much, Ive added those similar rings to my Wish List b/c I know in my life, they'll be put to great use. When you get it, be prepared for all sorts of questions and envy :)
