Sizing not accurate -

I purchased this ring for my wife as a stocking stuffer. First off, the ring is beautiful, and my wife couldn't wait to wear it. I ordered the size 8 after the operator told my it could be sized. I went to three different jewelry stores before I found someone that was willing to chance sizing the ring. Each of the stores said that they could not heat the ring to size the band because it would damage the inlaid opals. Luckily we only needed a minor adjustment so the last jeweler ended up grinding some of the inside of the ring to make it a little larger. Also it turns out that the size 8 was only a 7 3/4.
