I bought this as a birthday present for my sister. Her daughter was born in July, so I wanted to have her birth commemorated in come way. I had her daughter's name engraved on the padlock heart and her birthstone on the key charm. I also upgraded to the 20" chain. I was so pleased when it arrived. The lock is substantial and solid-feeling, but not too heavy. The chain is dainty, but not cheap-looking. I had thought I might have to replace the chain, but it was very pretty. 20" is the perfect length to fall right at the neckline. When I gave it to my sister, her eyes filled with tears and immediately ripped off the necklace she was wearing and put it on. She said she could not love it more and kept going back to the mirror to look at it! I am VERY pleased with the quality and it made a perfect gift for a new mom.
