The pendant opens up to reveal a heart shaped letter that can be engraved with your own special secret message. This locket pendant comes with 1 heart shaped letter, but if 1 letter isn't enough, we sell additional letter inserts separately. These additional inserts are perfect when you need more room to write your special message or if you want to add additional messages for birthdays. The insert that comes with your locket is shiny on one side and matte on the other, if you purchase additional inserts they are matte on both sides. I bought this for my friend's daughter for christmas, I think it is so cute. I like that it's tough but at the same time still looks elegant. I just don't like the rattle the inside heart does, but it's passable haha!

I THOUGHT and hoped that this engraved Secret Heart could be a perfect lil gift, but it was one of those things where I just wouldn't be sure til I received it. This locket is stunning in real life. The engraving was flawless and the opening of the envelope wasn't flimsy like some can be. There is plenty of room to add more messages on extra inserts too. A high quality product that will be loved for years to come.
